Wendy Fitch
Worship Arts Assistant

Job Description:

I have a passion for music, especially in using it to worship God and in helping to lead others into a meaningful worship experience.  As the Worship Arts Assistant, I help Chad in planning and compiling and transcribing music, scheduling and rehearsing our praise team members, leading worship services, and ministering to the body through use of my musical talents. I also assist with various secretarial jobs within the Worship Arts Dept.…ordering music, creating production sheets, responding to emails and phone calls, filing, assisting as worship event planning and housing administrator and any other jobs Chad needs assistance with.

Describe your family:

I am blessed to have a wonderful husband, Steve whom I have been married to for 26 years. Together we have been blessed with three really great children, a daughter Rachel, who is married and living in North Carolina, her husband Sean (whom we consider like one of our own children) and a son Josiah, who is in high school and still living at home. We also have Motoko a “rescue cat” we brought with us from NC when we moved here in 2005, who thinks we live in her house.

How do you spend your time when not at the church?

In addition to my job at church, I also have a private teaching studio in my home where I teach students of all ages Piano, Voice and Flute. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching movies and educational TV, playing games and just hanging out. My hobbies are definitely “eclectic” and include; listening to, performing and composing Music, Sewing and Costume Design, Scrap booking, Jewelry making, Reading, Fitness related things, studying Anatomy and Physiology, Theology and God’s Word, and researching areas of interest on my Computer. Of course that is when I am not occupied attending to the basic household needs…laundry, cleaning, cooking etc…

Background information:

I was born and raised in the suburbs of southwestern Pennsylvania. I grew up in a Christian home where my brother and I were both raised in the church. After a brief period of rebellion during my freshman year at Edinboro State College, I re-dedicated my life to Christ and have been striving to walk with Him ever since. I met my husband at church during summer break from college, and we were married two years later. We then moved to Colorado and I transferred to Colorado Christian College where I continued my studies as a Church Music Major, graduating with a BS in music in 1986. The next years of my life were spent being a mom, Home Schooling and doing Music and Drama ministry as opportunities and time allowed. In 1994 we moved to North Carolina and lived there until 2005 when God moved us to Ohio.
